The 12th State conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India Kerala unit will be held at Alappuzha. Reception committee chairman G. Sudhakaran, MLA, hoisted the conference flag at the Town Hall to mark the start of proceedings of the conference.. The flag was brought to the town in procession from Karimulackal G. Bhuvaneswaran Martyr Memorial at Charummoodu in the district. The flag was brought from Koothuparamba Martyrs Memorial at Kannur.
O.N.V. Kurup, Jnanpith laureate, will inaugurate the conference. A total of 683 delegates from the 14 districts will participate in the conference. DYFI State president M. Swaraj will preside over the inaugural function. State secretary T.V. Rajesh, MLA, will present the report.
DYFI All India Conference which held at Bangalore concluded its proceedings with the election of its new office bearers. Comrade M B Rajesh MP (Kerala) and Com. Abhoy Mukherje (West Bengal) were elected All India Secretary and President respectively. The conference also elected 62 member Central Committee.
DYFI 9th All India Conference with the slogan "For a Better India, Empower Youth " has begun its proceedings with a huge youth rally in Bangalore. Young people from different parts of Karnataka came to the garden city to be part of the huge rally. The rally started from the City Railway station premises at 12 noon. Cultural troops and traditional art forms of Karnataka added colour to the rally.
Garden City of India, Bangalore is getting ready to host the 9th All India conference of the biggest democratic youth movement in the country, DYFI from tommorow onwards. Starting from tommorow 11th September the conference will go till 15th September. All the preperations for the conference is completed. Martyrs Torch-Flag- Flagpole which started its journey from the martyrs lands will converge on Monday in Bangalore.
