Himachal DYFI Holds Ninth Conference

THE ninth state conference of the Himachal Pradesh unit of DYFI, held on 21st and 22nd December 2013 at Nahan, was attended by 66 delegates and observers, including 10 young women, representing a membership of 19,560.

A PROTEST meeting was organised by the Democratic Youth Federation of India’s Maharashtra state committee condemning the FIR filed against Teesta Setalwad in an Ahmedabad police station. DYFI all India president M B Rajesh, MP addressed the protest gathering held on January 10 at Dadar.

DYFI All India president Com. P Sreeramakrishnan inaugurated the Reception Committee formation meeting of the 9th All India Conference of DYFI to be held at Bangalore, from 2012 September 11 to 14. The conference, would be held for the first time here in Bangalore. The reception committee formation which was held in the Central College Senate Hall on 1st April was attended by more than 500 people from various strata of life. DYFI Karnataka state president Com N L Bhrathraj presided over the function.

DYFI Maharashtra State Conference

DYFI Maharashtra State Conference ahead of the All India Conference to be held at Bangalore in the second week of September, was held in Mahur, Nanded district from August 23 to 27. Representing One Lakh members in the state, 300 delegates from 16 districts participated in the conference. The conference was inaugurated by DYFI All India Secretary Com. Tapas Sinha.

Democratic Youth Federation of India will hold its ninth all India conference here from September 11 to 15 in the garden city of Bangalore. The event would be inaugurated by renowned film maker Shyam Benegal. 800 young delegates from various part of the country will participate in the conference. It is for the first time that Bangalore is hosting a national conference of DYFI after its formation. An youth rally reflecting the growth of Democratic youth federation in the state of Karnataka is organised on the 11th of September. The rally will begin at 11 AM from the City Railway station compound. CPIM P B member Com. Sitaram Yechury will inaugurate the youth rally. CPIM P B member and Kerala Minister M A Baby, and social activist Mallika Sarabhai, will also speak on the ocassion. The rally will conclude at the Freedom Park ground, where the public meeting is scheduled. Famous painters will organise an exhibition near the conference venue. The exhibition will be inaugurated on September 10 by noted painter Vasudev. Anti Imperialist photo exhibition is also organised as part of the conference.
