Resolution on Unemployment

Unemployment in our country had been on the rise because of the Liberalization – Privatization- Globalization Policies pursued as part and parcel of the Imperialist Globalization process that went on integrating our economy with the international finance capital in a malignantly transformative way for the last 25 years. Now it is projected to witness significant increase between 2017 and 2018, signalling stagnation in job creation in the country, according to a UN labour report.

FOR the first time Ernakulam, Kerala hosted the All India Conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India, from February 1-5. Today Morning, former Supreme Court judge, Justice Gopal Gowda inaugurated the delegate session. The conference attended by 780 delegates from across the country. Eminent guests at the inaugural session include Magsaysay award winner and an activist fighting against manual scavenging, Bezwada Wilson, Prof. Megha Pansare and Dr Hamid Dabholkar daughter and son of Govind Pansare and Dr Narendra Dabholkar, great intellectuals killed by Hindutva forces and our former president MA Baby, student leaders from various eminent universities and institutions like JNU, HCU and FTII, Pune.

Democratic Youth Federation of India will hold its 10th all India conference here from February 1 to 5, 2017 in Kochi of Kerala State. It is expected that 820 young delegates from various part of the country will participate in the conference. It is for the first time that Kochi is hosting a national conference of DYFI after its formation. A youth rally reflecting the growth of Democratic youth federation in the state of Kerala is organised on the 5th of February 2017. As part of the all India conference, DYFI is conducting various campaigns and service projects around the state.

The Central Executive Committee of Democratic Youth Federation of India strongly condemns the signing of the Logistic Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) between India and US. Under this agreement the US airforce and navy can use Indian naval and air bases for logistics support. Logistic services would include supplies of food, water, accommodation, transportation, petroleum, oils, lubricants, clothing, communication services, medical services, storage services, training services, spare parts and components, repair and maintenance services, calibration services and port services.

One day convention protesting the new proposed National Education Policy Draft which intends to take away the democratic rights of students in the campus held in Chennai. The draft if implemented as it is definite to evict poor children from the scenario of education. Com. K K Ragesh, former National President of SFI inaugurated the convention. The convention was organised by DYFI Tamil Nadu State Committee.
