A PROTEST meeting was organised by the Democratic Youth Federation of India’s Maharashtra state committee condemning the FIR filed against Teesta Setalwad in an Ahmedabad police station. DYFI all India president M B Rajesh, MP addressed the protest gathering held on January 10 at Dadar.

THOUSANDS of youth and students thronged the streets of Mumbai on November 29, 2013 demanding employment and education opportunities. They were singing and drumming in protest. Slogans condemning the state and central governments filled the air. Protesters had gathered from Thane, Solapur, Pune, Beed, Aurangabad, Jalna, Nanded, Raigad, Mumbai and several other districts of Maharashtra, demanding government action against rapid commercialisation of education and acute unemployment in the state.

DYFI flays Centre, State for clearing Aranmula project

The DYFI staged a march to Aranmula from Pathanamthitta town, demanding cancellation of the proposed private airport project. The 18-km long march that culminated at Aranmula Iykara junction with a massive torchlight procession and protest meet was led by the DYFI State secretary, T. V. Rajesh, MLA.

DYFI protest Demanding justice in Sowjanya Case

A huge protest was staged in front of the DC Office in Mangalore on October 9, Wednesday demanding a CBI probe into the Sowjanya rape and murder case. The protest was organised by the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Students Federation of India (SFI) in association with various like minded organizations.
