The Central Executive Committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India condole the death of Delhi gang rape victim. The 23 year old girl had been fighting for her life for the last 12 days despite serious injuries. The heinous crime that took place in a moving bus in the national capital on the night of 16th December, shocked the nation, and the people throughout the country, especially students and the youth come out in thousands in almost daily demonstrations, demanding effective measures by the central and state governments to curtail the increasing crimes against women.
The Central Executive Committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India decided to, observe protest day on 24th of December, 2012 against the passive response of the Central and Delhi governments towards the demands of the general public for speedy action in the gang rape case. The Delhi police while amazingly passive in ensuring peoples’ safety is so vigorously unleashing brutal assault on protesting people in Delhi.
Democratic Youth Federation of India along with other twenty four organizations staged a massive protest demonstration in front of the Delhi Police Head quarter today condemning the heinous gang rape of a young woman in a moving bus in Delhi on Sunday night and demanding speedy action from the police authorities. The brutal rape and torture occurred Sunday night when the woman and her friend after watching a movie boarded a private bus at Munirka in south Delhi to go to Dwarka in west Delhi. The woman was beaten up and raped by at least six men inside the bus.
The Central Executive Committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India Protests in the strongest possible words the heinous gang rape and assault of a 23-year-old para-medical student from Dehra Dun in the national capital on Sunday night in a private chartered bus. The decline in law and order situation in the city is deepening further day by day. The inadequate response of the Delhi Government requires united efforts by the entire youth community, human rights groups and concerned individuals to hold the government answerable for its inability to provide security to women in the state and bring the criminals to justice.
