A massive ‘Student-Youth Assembly Against Discrimination’ raising the slogan “Defeat Fascism, Defend the Republic” was held in Mumbai on 23rd April by a joint platform committee consisting of six student organizations, Students Federation of India (SFI), All India Students Federation (AISF), Progress Students Front (PSF) of Tata Institute Social Sciences, All India Students Association (AISA), Chhatrabharati, All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) and four youth organizations Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), All India Youth Federation (AIYF), Revolutionary Youth Association (RYA) and Purogami Yuvak Sanghatana (PYS).

Today 3 Elected representatives of people of India ( Member of Parliaments ) , Parents and Human Rights Activist not allowed to enter the University of Hyderabad. M B Rajesh (DYFI National President & Member of Parliament ), P K Biju (Former SFI National President & Member of Parliament), P Sampath ( Member of Parliament ), Teesta Setalvad ( Human Rights Activist ) and most importantly Parents of Students studying in University not allowed inside. The MPs and others staged a dharna in front of the Gate in protest. No "so called National Media" covered these acts of Dictatorship of the Khamma V-C Appa Rao Podile ...... The state wide "Secular" March organized by DYFI Kerala State Committee concluded today (5th December 2015) at Ernakulam followed by a big Youth Rally. Concluding meeting was inaugurated by CPIM Polit Buereu Member Com. Pinarai Vijayan. DYFI All India President Com. M.B Rajesh MP were also present in the concluding ceremony. The DYFI would safeguard the progressive and secular mindset of the State and resist any effort to turn the State into an “asylum of fundamentalists”. DYFI was also opposed to communal frenzy orchestrated both by the majority and minority communities.

As a warning to the communal forces which are trying to eliminate the secular and religious culture of India and to spread message for saving India from the communal forces which are trying to create tensions in the society by bringing back the religion - caste - colour discrimination and inequalities, DYFI Kerala State Committee is organizing a state wide "Secular" March from 17th November 2015. DYFI Kerala will take out two parallel Secular marches in the State.  The march is divided into two zones as northern zone and southern zone.
